Basic recipe: dissolve approx. 3 tablespoons (60 g) in 1,000 ml water. Variation: 1 water bottle 750 ml = 20–100 g (1–5 tablespoons) powder. Up to a dosage of 80 g SWISS BEASTER MOVE® powder to 1,000 ml water, the drink is hypotonic (laboratory tested value 250 mOsm/l); the drink is still isotonic up to a maximum dosage of 105 g (laboratory tested value 330 mOsm/l).
What do hypotonic, isotonic, and hypertonic mean?
Hypotonic drinks have fewer dissolved particles than blood, flowing into the bloodstream to compensate for this difference, which means that the drink is absorbed quickly.
Isotonic drinks are in balance, and the liquid can still be absorbed very quickly.
Hypertonic drinks contain more particles than blood, which means that water initially flows from the blood towards the intestines to dilute the drink. As a result, the drink is not absorbed quickly and therefore not suitable to rapidly replace fluids.
How great is our carbohydrate demand?
Calculation examples – supply with unconditioned metabolism:
- Woman, 55 kg body weight: 1.2 g per hour x 55 kg = 66 g CH per hour
- Man, 80 kg body weight: 1.2 g per hour x 80 kg = 96 g CH per hour
To condition the metabolism, I recommend using one tablespoon per hour for 750-1,000 ml of water.
For longer and more intensive training:
1 hour training = 1 bottle of 750 ml water with one level tablespoon of BEASTER MOVE = 17.3 gr of carbohydrates (hypotonic)
2 hours training = 2 bottles of 750 ml water with 2 level tablespoons each of BEASTER MOVE = 34.6 gr carbohydrates (hypotonic)
3 hours training = 3 bottles of 750 ml water with 3 level tablespoons each of BEASTER MOVE = 52 gr carbohydrates (hypotonic)
4 hours training = 4 bottles of 750 ml water with 4 level tablespoons each of BEASTER MOVE = 69.3 gr carbohydrates (isotonic)
